Underpinning
is normally required in the following circumstances:
- The property has been affected by subsidence,
- A basement is being formed next to relatively shallow existing foundations,
- Where new foundations adjacent to a wall undermine the footings of the wall.
We can organise
all the necessary soil investigations to enable an economic and practical
solution to be developed, and provide all the necessary underpinning drawing
details, specifications, and calculations.
In cases where
the underpinning becomes too deep, for practical or economic reasons, to
be excavated, schemes utilising piles can be developed.
